A superb example of a Victorian Wax Head Moulage. Mounted on what looks to be a very old dome base, the glass dome is long gone. This wax was probably part of a museum collection showing the symptoms of different diseases. The head shows swelling and redness to the mouth and nose, probably a result of TB. The patient was obviously in a bad way. A very macabre & fascinating item. Base measures 32 x 21cms & it stands approx. 17cms tall.
