In Victorian times the streets were a dangerous place, many had wild mad dogs wandering at night. A Gentlemen of society would carry one of these to fire into the air. The loud crack would scare the dogs and save the man from certain injury or death. A robber may also be deterred thinking the gun was real. A handy little item to have on a dark Victorian evening. This one is pocket sized at 11cms long and is stamped with the number 24. (Rubber Annie & Hand shown for scale).
