Beautiful Antique Writing Desk accessory c1880. A Spelter Ink Blotter / Nib Wipe in the shape of a Pug / Mastiff type Dog. He is very handsome with bright glass eyes. The horse hair was used to wipe away access ink from a pen or quill. It is a little loose in places as expected given his age and use. A lovely item in all original condition. Measures 5.5cms tall.
