Description

Early Dermatology Teaching Model made from hand painted plaster and wood. It is an oversized sculptural cross-section of human skin which dates to around 1910. Large model shows magnified epidermal, dermal and subcutaneous tissues, including a hair follicle and sweat glands. Measures 33 x 33cms. Could be easily fashioned to hang on a wall as it verges on abstract art. A beautiful rare model.
