High quality and detailed German Anthropology Model. The model is made from castings of the collection in the Faculty of Anthropology at the University of Goettingen. It is a reconstruction of a skull of Homo Neanderthalensis. The original skull was aged at approximately 40,000 to 70,000 years, middle-upper Pleistocene (Würm glacial stage). It separates into 2 parts and is presented on an aged ebonized wooden stand. Height including stand is 25cms. A superb looking model in excellent condition.
