Victorian Human Medical Skull

Item ID: 2714 | Category: Bones

A professionally prepared late Victorian Antique Male Human Medical Skull. It has a very unusual cranium cut and the skull cap is extremely thick, this was probably done to avoid cutting through the persistent Frontal suture which is rarely seen in an adult skull. The frontal or metopic suture is between the two frontal cranium bones, these are often mistaken for cranial fractures. There are also study notes against grooves in the skull where the supratrochlear, supra orbital and middle temporal arteries ran. A very old and beautifully macabre specimen. A much sought after Medical Item. (Available for sale in the UK only) Skull stand sold separately.
