Nazi German Mothers Cross in Gold

In German 'Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter' meaning Cross of Honour of the German Mother. Commonly known as the Mother's Cross, this award was given to German women who produced several children. The Gold award was for producing eight or more children, thus promoting large families to strengthen the Nation. This particular example is as good as it gets, Gold award in its original presentation box, with original full length ribbon (measuring 70 cm). The reverse of the medal carries the foundation date, 16 December 1938, and a facsimile of Hitler's signature. The box carries the name Wilh Deumer Kom-Ges Ludenscheid, and is stamped with the award emblem on the outer lid.
