German WW2 War Merit Cross First Class

German KVK1, this example comes complete with its Original Presentation Box, both items in Very Good Condition. This award was granted for non-military related action, but this is the First Class silver (highest) award for acts on bravery in a non combat situation, but the recipient probably put themselves in mortal danger. Makers Mark is on pin at the reverse (see photo) and is maker number 50 (Karl Gschiermeister, Wien). The silver plate is still all in tact, there is one small ding on the right arm (see photo). Beautiful example.
